Letters To and From the Editor

by Garry Stauber

August is hot and so is this month's edition of Equestrian Network Magazine. I am very excited about the addition of our new front page cartoon, "Mac and Jill" by Jodi Werner. Her humor and diverse barn animals will bring us a lot of laughs. You also will want to check out next month's issue as Jodi will be our September Artist of the Month. We are pleased to showcase Indra Singh is our August Artist of the Month.

This month's hot issue has a lot more to offer. If you like horse history, you will like our "Then and Now" feature where Fred Gluecksten shares letters from Ronald Reagan, and we also have the history of the U.S. Cavalry horses by Raul Colon.

The unusual breed Nonius is the Breed of the Month and there's an update on the Long Rider Gene Glasscock. We have lessons to derail horse and tack

thefts, and great instruction by Julie Goodnight, Pat Parelli and Lynn Palm. Martha McNiel writes about living in the herd and I tell of a wonderful river experience. There is so much more. Check out our front page for all the hot summer articles. We hope you like it as much as we do.
