Yesterday I asked to use a store's restroom and the proprietor told me it would cost a quarter to use it. I must have grimaced because he added, "There is nothing free any more, bro." I quickly pulled out my magazine business card and said, "Oh, yes, there is! How about a magazine with over 25 articles a month with astounding information on equestrian subjects?" He just looked at me funny and handed my quarter back.

I am proud of each issue we publish, not only because each is free, but because each issue is excellent quality and this month is no exception.

This month we have a great article on riding horses in Peru, so I thought it only fitting to feature the Peruvian Horse. However, I am sad to report that horse theft seems to be on the

|
rise and we have two articles this month on the subject, including a special "Giving Back." |

September annually marks back to school and our trainers further our equestrian training education. Be sure to check out Julie Goodnight, Ron Merdith, Pat Parelli and Jerry Tindell's articles. Speaking of trainers, I have a little secret for you. Starting next month we will begin a new column by the wonderful Leslie Desmond. She is co-author of the book "True Horsemanship Through Feel" with the late Bill Dorrance, who is a legend in the horsemanship field. This is one secret you are welcome to tell your friends.

We have great articles this month so do yourself a favor and read them all. The tuition price is right!
